We Are a Family-Run Organic Agriturismo
Villa Montecastello was born from a deep family passion and today includes a significant production of organic extra virgin olive oil, produced from our olive groves and pressed in our own mill.
We also grow vegetables in our organic garden and produce homemade cured meats, all certified organic.
All the animals on the farm — from the courtyard hens to the farm animals — live in harmony with our family and collaborators, in a natural and respectful environment.
This is where donkeys, horses and farm animals graze freely in the pastures, while the hens recognize the familiar sounds of the farm and come running when called.

I am Jens, and for more than forty years I have been working in the world of organic agriculture, guided by a constant search for authenticity.
Italy has become my second home, a land that welcomed and inspired me. I did not limit myself to producing olive oil, but travelled across places, stories and traditions in search of excellence.
During my travels I searched for the finest traditional balsamic vinegar, discovering small artisan producers in the hills around Modena who still work following centuries-old traditions.
Today I share these discoveries and this passion with the guests of Villa Montecastello. Inside the villa I also take care of the kitchen, where I prepare dishes inspired by tradition and interpreted with creativity, always respecting the rhythm of the seasons.
At our table you might enjoy a bistecca, a pizza, or simple dishes made with vegetables and ingredients that come directly from the farm — often harvested the very same day they arrive in our kitchen.
